Delivery & Return Policy

At Trade First Global Containers, we aim to make the purchase and delivery of your container as smooth as possible. This policy explains our delivery process, customer responsibilities and our approach to returns.

1. Delivery

We deliver shipping containers, office containers, spaza containers and customised container solutions to customers at agreed delivery locations.

Delivery arrangements will be confirmed with the customer before dispatch. Delivery times may vary depending on the customer’s location, container availability, transport requirements, weather conditions and other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

The customer is responsible for providing a safe and accessible delivery location and ensuring that there is sufficient space for the delivery vehicle and container to be safely positioned.

Where required, the customer should inform us of any access restrictions, narrow roads, low bridges, overhead cables, gates, slopes or other conditions that could affect delivery.

2. Delivery Charges

Delivery charges depend on factors such as:

  • Delivery location
  • Container size
  • Distance
  • Transport requirements
  • Site accessibility
  • Special lifting or offloading requirements

Any applicable delivery charges will be communicated to the customer before delivery.

3. Site Preparation

The customer is responsible for preparing the site before delivery. The ground should be reasonably level, stable and suitable for placing the container.

Trade First Global Containers is not responsible for damage or additional costs resulting from unsuitable site conditions, restricted access or inaccurate information supplied by the customer.

If special equipment or additional transport arrangements are required because of site conditions, additional charges may apply.

4. Inspection on Delivery

Customers are encouraged to inspect the container as soon as it is delivered.

Any visible damage, defects or discrepancies should be reported to us as soon as possible after delivery, preferably with photographs and a description of the issue.

This allows us to investigate and resolve legitimate issues as quickly as possible.

5. Returns

Because shipping containers and customised container units are large, specialised products, returns are not automatically accepted simply because a customer changes their mind after delivery.

Return requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the condition of the container, whether the container has been customised, and the circumstances of the request.

The customer may be responsible for return transportation and other reasonable costs where a return is approved.

Custom-built, modified or specially ordered containers may not be eligible for return.

6. Incorrect or Damaged Orders

If you receive a container that is materially different from what was agreed or there is significant damage attributable to us or the delivery process, please contact us promptly so that we can investigate and determine an appropriate solution.
