Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Trade First Global Containers. By accessing or using our website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our website or purchasing our products and services.
1. About Us
Trade First Global Containers supplies shipping containers and container-based solutions, including new and used containers, office containers, spaza containers and customised container solutions.
In these Terms & Conditions, “we”, “us”, “our” and “Trade First Global Containers” refer to the business operating this website. “You” and “customer” refer to any person accessing our website, requesting a quotation or purchasing our products or services.
2. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on our website is accurate and up to date. However, product availability, specifications, dimensions, colours, photographs and prices may change without prior notice.
Images displayed on the website are provided for illustration and may not always represent the exact container supplied.
Customers should confirm the final specifications, condition, price and availability of a container before placing an order.
3. Quotations and Prices
Prices displayed on our website or provided in quotations are subject to confirmation.
A quotation may specify the container price, delivery charges, customisation costs and any other applicable charges.
A quotation does not constitute a confirmed order until the customer has accepted the quotation and any required payment or deposit has been received.
We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing or information errors.
4. Orders
An order is considered confirmed once the relevant requirements have been agreed and any required payment or deposit has been received.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information, including contact details, delivery address, container specifications and any customisation requirements.
5. Container Condition
Where a container is sold as used, customers acknowledge that used containers may show signs of previous use, including dents, scratches, surface marks, repairs, rust or other reasonable signs of wear.
Where applicable, the condition of a specific container will be discussed with the customer before purchase.
6. Customised Containers
We may offer customised or converted containers, including office containers, spaza containers and other specialised units.
Customisation may include doors, windows, electrical installations, shelving, painting, insulation and other modifications depending on the customer’s requirements.
Customised orders may have different production and delivery times. Final specifications should be confirmed before work begins.
7. Delivery
Delivery arrangements will be agreed with the customer before dispatch.
The customer is responsible for providing a suitable and accessible delivery site.
Customers must inform us of any access restrictions, narrow entrances, overhead cables, low bridges, slopes, restricted roads or other conditions that could affect delivery.
Additional costs may apply where special transport, lifting equipment or other arrangements are required.
Our Delivery & Return Policy forms part of these Terms & Conditions.
8. Payments
Payment methods and payment requirements will be communicated to the customer before an order is confirmed.
Where a deposit is required, the amount and payment terms will be stated in the quotation or order documentation.
Customers should retain proof of payment for their records.
9. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds
Cancellations, returns and refunds are handled in accordance with our Delivery & Return Policy and Refund Policy, together with any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable South African law.
Customised or specially prepared containers may be subject to different cancellation and return conditions.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove or limit a consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Consumer Rights
We aim to treat all customers fairly and transparently. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to waive or restrict rights provided to consumers under applicable South African consumer-protection legislation.
The Consumer Protection Act prohibits suppliers from imposing terms that are unfair, unreasonable or unjust.
